**Would other people use a [CalDAV](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CalDAV) sync with baserow calendar or table?**

I have been setting up a task management system for my organisation using Baserow. It is great, but ideally I don’t want to be building everything from scratch in the app builder.

I like the idea of using [Tasks.org](https://tasks.org/) to manage tasks on people’s devices. To get this to work I need to connect it to a CalDAV server (e.g. google calendar, or nextcloud).

Possible use cases:

- Two way calendar sync from baserow to calendar app
- Task management across devices
- Tracking task and events overview in baserow, but users being able to customise how they connect to it

Probably some other stuff

I haven’t thought through exactly how you would configure the sync but I imagine you would just have to have a field matching feature.

Hey @joe, just wanted to share that in Baserow 1.27 we’re releasing the feature to sync Baserow with an external calendar: [iCal feed for calendar views (#1911) · Issues · Baserow / baserow · GitLab](https://gitlab.com/baserow/baserow/-/issues/1911).

Hi @olgatrykush thanks for this!

Yes I had seen that, I had been wondering about how external applications could also edit and manage rows (rather than just display them). I think it might require an external project or custom plugin by the sounds of it

Hey @joe, probably yes.

We’ve also started working on the data sync feature, which might also meet your needs. However, I don’t yet know how exactly it will work or which apps will be supported initially. Here’s the details: [Data sync (#2278) · Issues · Baserow / baserow · GitLab](https://gitlab.com/baserow/baserow/-/issues/2278)

@joe, yes. I’m currently investigating Baserow solely for this purpose (CalDAV synchronisation), and my ideal client is also `Tasks.org`. \[1\] I want to replace NextCloud, and Baserow appears otherwise suitable.

1. …because despite `github.com/tasks/tasks/issues/3333`, there’s no superior client.

Hi @RokeJulianLockhart, this issue has been accepted, but it will have a low priority. Thank you for your understanding! 🙂

@olgatrykush, thank you! I’ll be around for many years yet, so that’s fine.
