# Darshan Hiranandani : How to Share a Database from Baserow for Cloning with a Contest App

Hi team,

I’m Darshan Hiranandani, I’ve completed my app for the contest, and the front-end is built using Appsmith, which is fully forkable, allowing others to clone the app and work with the source code. I will also be sharing the GitHub link for the app’s code.

However, I’m unsure about how to share the **database** (which is hosted in Baserow) so others can easily clone or get a copy of it to use with the app.

Does anyone know how to make a Baserow database “forkable” or shareable, so other users can set up their own instance and connect it to the app?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Currently there isn’t an option to make a database shareable. Here is an issue to implement this feature: [Ability to share entire database (#2074) · Issues · Baserow / baserow · GitLab](https://gitlab.com/baserow/baserow/-/issues/2074)

Currently, you can only share a view (with the ability to [export shared views](https://gitlab.com/baserow/baserow/-/issues/1213) coming soon) or export an entire workspace. 🙂
