Are you using our SaaS platform (Baserow.io) or self-hosting Baserow?

If you are self-hosting, what version of Baserow are you running?

If you are self-hosting, which installation method do you use to run Baserow?

Docker 29.8.1

What are the exact steps to reproduce this issue?

  1. Create a database with a table (e.g. Fahrten).
  2. Add a File field (e.g. Belege) that allows multiple files.
  3. Create a Form view exposing that file field and share it publicly.
  4. Submit the form with two or more files uploaded into the file field → a new row is created containing multiple files.
  5. Create an Automation on this table:
    Trigger: Rows created.
    Action: Send email.
  6. In the email body, insert the file field from the trigger via the data picker. The picker only lets me select a single file by index (e.g. … → 0 → url). There is no option to output all files at once.
  7. Run the automation (test run or real submission).

Hi Maximilian :waving_hand:,

You can output all of them at once by using the [all] selector in the data selection.
You can choose to output all files urls for example.

But then the challenge would be to clean that url since it will be output as a single one.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Augustin,

To rule out a mistake on my side: the row I’m testing with does contain multiple files in the file field (verified in the row itself), but the email output shows only one URL — both with the index selector (0) and with [all].
So my questions:

  1. Is [all] on a file field’s url supposed to output all files’ URLs, or only the first? If all — any idea why only one comes through in the Send email action?
  2. If this is a current limitation: is there a supported way (formula field, expert mode, or a newer version) to get all file URLs of a multi-file file field into the email body as a list?

Hi,

any hints concerning this issue?

Or is it simply not possible to do what i want?

Thanks!
