I learned several languages in high school, served as a combat medic in the airforce, worked with metal and in engineering and discovered programming when I first got my Apple ][ from a friend when I was 16. I started programming with Basic and Pascal and then discovered database programming with Omnis. Switched to FileMaker Pro when is was still version 2 and non-relational. Worked with FileMaker ever since and built loads of custom build solutions as well as a CRM and ERP system over the last 30+ years. Started learning Javascript when I started working with n8n workflows. After a couple of life-changing events, I stopped with IT last year. Because I can’t sit still, I started my own handyman company. Apart from a few small jobs, I recently built an annex and this autumn I’m going to completely renovate a holiday home. Since there’s a tight schedule, I decided to make a detailed planning. Since I’m no longer allowed to use my FileMaker license and since I do not like spreadsheets, I decided to look elsewhere. I then remembered coming across Baserow years ago. I really liked what I saw and even sponsored Bram in his early days. I revisited Baserow and was really pleasantly surprised. Really love the easy of use and the possibility to build web portals with the application builder. Although currently I’m just a user, I going to make myself familiar with all that’s possible now and look forward to see what’s lying ahead. P.s.: as soon as I’ve got my Baserow certifications, I’ll adapt my website to reflect these new skills
