A small revision of everything that happened during the last few weeks in Baserow 🔦

Hello, community

Today I want to share with you some great news, and additional development updates you may want to know about. Keep on reading to see what’s happening in Baserow behind the scene?

Upcoming release

During the last month, we have been working on the new features and product updates. Today we are proud to say that we have come very close to the end, and the release of Baserow 1.11 will be in a week or so! What big updates to expect?

@jrmi is working on the import features like making it possible to import files that are bigger than 15Mb and improving the UI/UX to avoid the browser freeze during the process. He is also finalizing some duplication features that you are all waiting for.

@nigel fixed a bunch of formula bugs and made the self-hosting configurations easier. Baserow becomes better and better every day.

In addition to all this, in the new version, you’ll be able to make links to the current table, prefill in forms, filter the value on a primary field, and much more. Stay tuned for the official announcement, and we have another big news we want to share with you on the release day.

Baserow as the backend

As you all know, when it comes to development, it doesn’t matter what you’re building, you need access to data. And that data can live in Baserow, actually.

Last two weeks there were conducted two streams showcasing how Baserow can be used as a backend database. Make sure to check them out if you have an interest in this topic:

  • Building a Twitch Viewer Leaderboard using Baserow: Twitch.
  • Using Baserow as an External Databases in Webflow: YouTube.

Have YOU ever used Baserow as a backend for your application? Share your experience in the comments!
