Baserow 2.2 adds support for building applications with Kuma, introduces view-level permissions to control access to rows and fields, plus many other improvements.
Here’s what’s new:
→ Kuma builds apps now: Describe what you want, and generate full applications with pages, elements, and data
→ View-level permissions (RBAC): Limit access to specific rows and fields using restricted views
→ Default row values per view: Ensure new rows match the view’s filters automatically
→ Edit rows via forms: Let users update records through secure links without giving database access
→ Drag & drop in the Application Builder: Move and reorganize elements visually
→ Data scanner (self-hosted): Detect sensitive values like IDs or financial data across your instance
→ New formula functions: array_unique(), array_slice(), first(), last()
→ AI field improvements: Process multiple files (including images) in a single prompt
→ Improved formula validation: Catch errors while building formulas
→ Automation templates & SMTP improvements: Faster setup and easier email automation
We’re continuing to improve Baserow based on your feedback — try it out and let us know what you think! ![]()
