When barcode supports gets added to baserow it would be great to have barcode reader integrated into application builder as well. We could then without any external resources create a fully functioning warehouse application for our internal usage.

Hey @ihoststuff thanks for the suggestion. How do you see it? When you click on a scan button it starts the camera so you can scan any barcode/qrcode/…?
Do you now that you can buy barcode readers that emulate a keyboard? I think that you can even use an application on your phone for that. That could already work with baserow?
Precisely. When I click scan, it starts the camera and starts to scan QR/barcode. Then the output is available to be linked to a field (e.g. search).
A separate great option would be to have the camera always active on the screen with adjustable preview size. That way, the extra button press could be avoided. So that when a scan is successfully done, it auto searches the product or whatever is linked in the db.
I’m aware of barcode readers that emulate a keyboard, but that seems unnecessary as the phone already has a camera. That way a search field takes up space that would otherwise not be avoided.
Sure makes sense. In the roadmap (but not soon enough I’m afraid).
