Hi there,
If youâre currently working toward your Baserow Academy certifications, we wanted to give you a quick heads-up.
The Baserow Academy is now live on a new platform. This change gives us more flexibility in how we organize and improve the Academy going forward. To continue your progress, youâll need to create a new account.
Please note:
- Any certificates youâve already earned remain valid
- Any courses in progress will need to be restarted
Weâre sorry that your previous progress couldnât be carried over, and we appreciate your understanding.
Weâd love to have you back â jump in and continue your learning anytime.

I just tried it out, and honestly, the user experience is really bad. Iâm sorry to be so negative, but Iâll list the issues:
- No translations availableâeverything is in English. In this age of AI, itâs not hard to translate an LMSâs courses.
- The LMSâs UI is totally corny! You canât see a thing, the embedded YouTube videos are ridiculously smallâit all feels like a UI designed in 2008. Take inspiration from modern LMS platforms like Teachable or Frappe. It seems like youâre using Thinkifik, and thatâs a strange choice⌠Itâs a bad LMS.
- The certification system is opaque; we donât understand how itâs organized, we donât see a directory of certified people, and we donât know whatâs recognized or by whomâŚ
Frankly, it doesnât make you want to use it!
Iâve attached a few discouraging screenshots here:
I can also recommend Classroom, which is fairly new but seems to me to be consistent with Baserowâs open nature
Thank you for your feedback @bastien
Iâll forward this to the responsible team member, and weâll see if these glitches can be fixed. Also, weâll check on language support.
Regarding the certification system, could you clarify what you mean by âa directory of certified peopleâ?
An academy should have a more human touch. When you start a course like this, you want to see the profiles of other people who have already completed it, what theyâre doing with Baserow, and so onâŚ
