Baserow 2.3 brings major updates across databases, applications, and automations.
→ See who’s editing cells in real time
→ Collapse, expand, and summarize grouped data
→ Import Excel files directly into new tables
→ Undo, redo, and restore Application Builder elements
→ Execute JavaScript in workflows
→ Inspect every automation step with Node History
→ Read CSV and Excel files in workflows
→ Create or update up to 1,000 rows in a single action
→ Trigger workflows when specific fields are updated
→ Build reusable workflows and start them from apps or other workflows
→ Create more flexible, responsive application layouts and menus

The Automation Builder is also officially out of beta. Plus, we’ve introduced automation credits in Baserow Cloud, with monthly allowances based on your plan.

What can you actually automate with Baserow? In our latest webinar, we built four practical examples:
Track task performance over time
Take a daily snapshot of open and completed tasks, build a historical dashboard, and receive a daily summary by email.
Turn project templates into scheduled tasks
Use a CSV or Excel template to automatically create project tasks and calculate deadlines based on the project start date.
Automate budget approvals
Send new expenses to Slack for approval, check the remaining budget automatically, and alert the team when spending reaches critical thresholds.
Assign support tickets with AI
Use AI to identify a ticket’s category and priority, then automatically assign it to the right agent based on skills and current workload.

Approve requests directly from Slack
Another example connects Baserow and Slack to simplify approvals.
A new out-of-office request in Baserow automatically appears in Slack. A manager clicks a button to respond, the record is updated in Baserow, and the Slack message updates too.
Capture ideas before they disappear
One of our ambassadors wanted a faster way to capture temporary notes across Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
So they built their own quick-capture app with Claude Code, Baserow, Cloudflare, and Craft — in around 90 minutes.
It does exactly what they need: capture text instantly, edit or share it later, or send it to their notes. No unnecessary features or complicated interface.
A great example of building a small tool around your workflow instead of adapting your workflow to another app.
