Product Updates: Baserow 2.2
Baserow 2.2 is here — build apps with AI, add view-level permissions, and more.
Highlights:
→ Kuma builds apps now: Describe what you want, and generate full applications with pages, elements, and data
→ View-level permissions (RBAC): Control access to specific rows and fields using restricted views
→ Edit rows via forms: Let users update records through secure, pre-filled links
→ Default row values per view: Ensure new rows match the view’s filters automatically
→ Data scanner (self-hosted): Detect sensitive values like IDs or financial data
→ Pin up to 4 columns: Keep key fields visible while working with wide tables
→ New formula functions: array_unique(), array_slice(), first(), last()
→ AI field supports multiple files and images: Process multiple files (including images) in a single prompt
→ Drag & drop in the Application Builder: Move and reorganize elements visually
New Templates
We’ve added several new templates — now including built-in automations to help you get started faster:
- A/B Testing
- Inspections & Compliance
- Intake & Qualification
- Password Reset
- Program Management & KPI
- Work Management Platform
AI Security & Data Governance explained
We’ve published a detailed guide on how Baserow handles data privacy, AI processing, and deployment control.
Update: Baserow n8n Node
We’ve shipped improvements to the official Baserow node in n8n:
→ Batch operations — create, update, and delete multiple rows in a single request
→ Improved filtering for “Get Many” operations
→ API Token authentication support
Securex Case Study
Securex built a custom task management tool for payroll advisors with Baserow — without any software developers.
They replaced a spreadsheet-based process with a tailored application used daily to plan work, manage workload, and ensure service continuity.
Results
→ Proactive workload management across the team
→ Real-time visibility into tasks and deadlines
→ 100% adoption by payroll advisors
Instead of adapting their processes to rigid software, Securex built a system that fits how their teams actually work.
New Integration Guides
We’ve added a new way to connect Baserow with your workflows:
Baserow × Power Automate
Use Baserow directly inside Microsoft Power Automate with a custom connector.
→ Trigger workflows from tools like Microsoft Teams
→ Create, update, and delete rows automatically
→ Connect Baserow to your existing Microsoft workflows
We’re Hiring: Product Engineer
We’re looking for someone who enjoys building product features end-to-end and working across the full stack:
→ Backend (PostgreSQL, Python/Django)
→ Frontend (Vue/Nuxt)
→ Product decisions, UX, and iteration
You’ll take ownership from idea → shipped feature → iteration, working closely with the team to build and improve core parts of Baserow.
