Cloudflare Error 1010 blocking Python urllib requests to Baserow Cloud API — recommended solution?

Are you using our SaaS platform (Baserow.io) or self-hosting Baserow?

SaaS

What are the exact steps to reproduce this issue?

Hi !

I’m developing a Baserow Cloud app with fictional test data. I recently created a test table; token permissions were not changed.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. On Windows, use Python 3.14.8 urllib (User-Agent: Python-urllib/3.14).
  2. Send a GET request to /api/database/rows/table/1256071/?page=1&size=1 with a Baserow database token.
  3. Receive HTTP 403 — Cloudflare Error 1010 (browser_signature_banned).

Is this restriction intentional ? What is the recommended way to access the API from Python/n8n?

Full sanitized log attached.

Hey @ahactivites, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Apparently, if a user agent like Python-urllib/3.14was provided, then Cloudflare automatically blocked this. This was not intentional because Baserow can function as an API, and these kind of user agents are accepted. We’ve deactivated the “Browser integrity check” in Cloudflare and that seems to have resolved the problem. It should work now.
