It’s strange, but we have been using the App builder for a while and know how to build basic apps. Suddenly, today, for one of our data sources, most of the fields are just missing from the Fields choices in the Table component. We have never seen this. We have refreshed the datasource many time. We have checked the View we are using. But nothing helps. Most of the fields are just missing. Only a few fields show up. They don’t even show up when we click to add a field and see what fields the Data source returns. Is there a bug or something?
Hi @ddsgad,
To investigate this further, could you share some more information:
- Which data source type are you referring to? E.g. get row, list rows, etc.
- If you’re seeing a list of fields, are you trying to add a filter/sort? The only data source with a field dropdown is the “summarize field” data source, outside the context of filters/sorts.
- To confirm, you can see the fields in the database table, but as soon as you switch to the application builder, those fields aren’t present in the dropdown?
- Are you self-hosting, or using baserow.io? If it’s the former, which version are you running?
Cheers,
Peter Evans
- Get Rows
- No filters or sorts at all.
- Yes, the fields are visible in the database, but they are not visible in the application builder.
- We use BaseRow.io
We have built with the app builder many times. Other tables are fine. It’s just with a specific table, the fields do not show. We have created new pages, new data, tried everything. Refresh fields from datasource many times in the application builder. The fields just don’t show. Just a few fields show. There must be some setting in Baserow somewhere which eliminates fields from showing. No idea where that is? These are boolean fields, by the way. And, also again, we have no problems with other tables. We create the List Rows and every single field from the table shows up in the application builder
BTW, just started working again! We hit “Refresh fields from Datasource” and now the fields show. There must be something happening on the backend of Baserow. Please investigate. The fields didn’t show for hours. Now they show. Thanks for the fix, but would be good to know why this happened on your end.
BTW, there is certainly something going on with Baserow, because now when we refresh the fields, there are fields included that are not even in the table! It seems like the refresh is also grabbing fields from related records? I can’t be sure. But there is some bug somewhere.
