Filters on calendar months of the current year and/or rolling year

I would like to be able to filter a date field by calendar months of the current year and/or rolling year.

This option is not available in Airtable and yet is very useful for reporting. There’s no way of doing this without very complex formulas.

I’d like to be able to create a filter on January of the current year, February of the current year, March of the current year, etc. Or November of the past rolling year, December of the past rolling year, etc. Quarters and Semesters are also very useful filters.

Does this make sense to you?
