It would be comfortable if we could show / hide a group of columns with one click. Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel both allow to group and collapse / expand both columns and rows.
I would like to draw your attention to the feature request on GitLab and ask you to upvote it.

Hi @Mary-Lou, we recommend using different views for this use case. This feature request hasn’t been accepted yet since there’s already an easy way to hide/unhide fields, and we haven’t received similar requests from other users. However, if more users show interest in this feature, we’ll reconsider it. Hope for your understanding! 
Unfortunately, different views don’t work for us since we need to add fields quite often, which requires rearranging the fields for each view separately:

But it will not allow us to save and reapply filters, will it?

This means we will be able to save different filter combinations and apply them to different views?
The plan is to add the ability to copy view formatting between views, but since development hasn’t started yet, I can’t specify exactly how it will work.
