Hey, since the last UI update, I can’t figure how to fold and hide the sidebar. The icon for that seems to have gone and I am not sure what replaced it.
The new sidebar is nice, but taking quite a bit of real estate, being able to hide it is a must on mobile devices.
Thanks!
Replying to self: I figured that I can resize it on a laptop by dragging the boundary.
But still clueless on how to do it on mobile devices.
By the way I would love some love on the mobile UX. There are quite a few issues/glitches with it (like, in grid view, and portrait display, scrolling laterally will not render columns to the right of the original displayed area ; or, the near unusable “enlarge row” modal window).
Replying to self again: even on a laptop, I miss that ability to quickly hide/show the sidebar. It’s nice to be able to resize it (maybe that was the case before, I just did not realize), but I need a way to do things the old way too. Maybe it’s still there and very obvious but I can’t seem to be able to find it! Help!
Hey @Yam, that’s right. For now, it’s only possible to resize it. I’ve checked with the team to see if we can still add a hide functionality.
We plan to focus on mobile improvements soon.
Hey @Yam, quick update: we’ll add an option to hide the sidebar.
Hey team, is there any ETA for this? As mentioned, it was already not super convenient to use on mobile but now it’s impossible. It’s a huge impact on usability for me.
Hey @Yam, I apologize for the inconvenience. I don’t have any ETA at the moment, but I’ll check with the team and get back to you.
Hey @Yam, we agree that hiding the sidebar is essential for using Baserow on mobile devices. We’ll do our best to release this feature this quarter.
