How to create a file in a file field from text in another field?

I want to know if it is possible to create a file (.txt) and automatically store it in the File field in a table from another text field of the same table.

Would this be so hard to implement ? Like having the option from the file field to import data from another field as a specific file (.txt for instance)

My specific case issue is that I have Make automations that send data from texts fields to other programs that only accept a certain length of text and demand files if it’s longer than that. (Discord in my case)

Hi @Paragon,

Unfortunately this isn’t a native feature within Baserow. You would need to create these files using an external service. You mentioned you use Make, can it not create these .txt files for you?

I check and Make doesn’t support native text files making sadly.

Can you open a ticket to create and store a .txt file from an alphanumerical column in Baserow as an available option from creating a File field ?
It probably won’t drag that much attention but we never know :slight_smile:
