Import from Cloud fails on self-hosted 2.3.3 (Builder app)

Are you using our SaaS platform (Baserow.io) or self-hosting Baserow?

Self-hosted

If you are self-hosting, what version of Baserow are you running?

2.3.3

What are the exact steps to reproduce this issue?

Hi,

Ran into this trying to migrate a workspace from Baserow Cloud to a self-hosted instance.
I exported the whole workspace (a few databases + one Builder app) in one zip, imported it on a fresh self-hosted install running 2.3.3.

The databases import fine, but the Builder app fails every time with:

TypeError: LocalBaserowTableServiceFilter() got unexpected keyword arguments: ‘group’

I tried switching the image to develop-latest (pulled today, Sept 3) and the same export imports without that error. So it looks like something got fixed on develop but hasn’t made it into a stable release yet.

Is this already being tracked somewhere?

Thanks

Hey @tonyf, you can see the list here: baserow/changelog/entries/unreleased at develop · baserow/baserow · GitHub :slightly_smiling_face:

Baserow 2.4 is planned for the end of September.

Hey @tonyf, I just got confirmation from the dev team that you’re right: filter groups aren’t supported for self-hosted users yet. Once we release 2.4, it’ll be working. :raising_hands:

Thanks, that’s helpful! Will keep an eye out for 2.4

Hi again,

Quick follow-up now that 2.3.4 is out. I did a fresh install on 2.3.4 and tried importing a full workspace export I made today from Baserow Cloud.

The databases import fine, but the Builder apps still fail. The error is different from before though:

KeyError('value_is_formula')

Since the export comes from Cloud and I’m importing into 2.3.4, I’d expect the formats to match, so this looks like a bug rather than a version gap. Tried 3 times, same result each time.

Is this already known?

Thanks

Hey @tonyf, did you try with 2.4 release? We just launched it today :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks, i will try on friday and I’ll keep you posted.

I tested it with version 2.4.0, and it works now. Thank you @olgatrykush
