Issue with automation on a self-hosted installation on Cloudron

Thank you for launching automation, it’s a feature I’ve been waiting for for a long time.

I tested it with my account on your cloud, and it works very well.

However, on my self-hosted Cloudron installation, I can’t get the same results with the same tests.

For example, when I simply want to test modifying data or creating a row in a table, the parameters are set correctly, but I get no output during the test, nor any error message.

Good morning @Jeau,

when I simply want to test modifying data

Are you doing a test run or publishing when you’re doing this test?

Also, could you check the server logs? There could be an error being thrown that’s stopping your workflow from running.

Cheers,

Peter Evans

Hi @picklepete

I tested it with the Start test run button and the Test event button.

I don’t see any errors. Here are the logs (via Cloudron that I believe correspond to some tests.

I have the same problem with Baserow on the Cloudron demo instance. Are you confident that it works with Baserow on Cloudron?

Hi @Jeau,

I haven’t tried Cloudron recently, but I can’t think of any reason why it shouldn’t be working on there, too.

Thanks for sharing the logs. Are those all of the entries during a workflow test run / publish? It doesn’t look like there are any errors…

Would you mind sharing what your workflow looks like, and how the nodes are configured? I may potentially spot issues there.

Cheers,

Peter Evans

thanks @picklepete

I went back to the beginning of the problem and performed the same simple steps on my Baserow installation on Cloudron and my account on https://baserow.io/

  • Creation of a new project
  • Addition of a database, with a default table
  • Addition of automation
  • activate “lines created” node withs parameters : connection to the database and table created by default
  • launch of Test event (no publication), create a new line in table

Results

→ the test is OK on my test project on the baserow.io cloud

→ the test produces nothing on my test project on my Cloudron,

I repeated this simple test on the Cloudron demo instance by activating the baserow application, and the problem is exactly the same.
