Link-to-table field in Form View shows an empty selectable option

What do you need help with?

Link-to-table field in Form View shows an empty selectable option although:

field is required
no empty linked records exist
selecting the empty option is invalid

Expected behavior:
Hide the empty option when the field is required.

Step Actions
1 Open grid‑view of Contacten.
2 Kolom‑header → Edit field.
3 Pop‑up → Link row settings.
4 Uncheck Allow empty selection .
5 Save.

There is no Pop-up after step 2.

This block isn’t selectable, so if the field is mandatory, it shouldn’t be accepted.

That said, I’ll discuss with the team why this option is there in the first place.
