Hi there,
Instead of scrolling down to the bottom of the rows to add a new one, can there be a big button somewhere?
Thanks for helping make this awesome system more user-friendly!
Hi @TUI ,
you can right click on any row and select “Insert row above/below”. It will create a new row that you can fill anywhere you want. Would that work for you?
also there is a keyboard shortcut, I think it’s Shift+Enter, to add a row
Thank you Petrs! That’s great.
I think making the “Add row” button one that floats above the rows better for tables with lots of rows. I also use Baserow in mobile and it’s a pain to add a row since there’s no access to the Shift+Enter keyboard shortcut. I have to add a row from a filtered view that doesn’t have too many rows instead.
Thanks for the feedback @wandering-tabler, I’ll discuss your suggestion with the team.
Hey @wandering-tabler, first of all, we want to say that we are planning to optimize the mobile UX this year, so it will be much more convenient to use Baserow on mobile devices in general. Regarding your request, that’s already in the plans. We’ll have this button when we finish redesigning the grid view.
I wish there was a button in the top menu. I find “Insert row above/below” very counter-intuitive for one of the most basic functions. Why do we need to select an existing row to add a new one. Why can’t we just open the table and click on +?
Hi @Mary-Lou! We have this issue in the pipeline: Add a floating + to create new rows (#2178) · Issues · Baserow / baserow · GitLab. Would adding new rows this way be more intuitive?
