Hi @computersrmyfriends, thank you for reaching out. I’m uncertain if I completely follow what you mean. Do you want to limit the number of relationships you can add to a “Link to table” cell value? If so, then that’s currently not possible. We have an issue on the backlog to implement a one-to-many relationship here: Limit link to table amount of relationships (one to many) (#403) · Issues · Bram Wiepjes / baserow · GitLab. I hope that answers your question.
@bram yes, I meant limiting the relationships to One to Many. Glad to see it coming soon.
Per GitLab, this issue was opened three years ago and there doesn’t seem to be any progress on it.
I’m pretty impressed with Baserow so far, but not being able to specify a one-to-one relationship is a painful omission for someone coming from Airtable.
Hey @ToddZ, we have many new feature requests, and some old issues are being delayed because more urgent things come up. I’ll ask the team if we can make this issue a higher priority.
Hey @ToddZ, we see that one-to-many and one-to-one relationships are the most upvoted features on GitLab. We’ll do our best to address this issue as soon as possible.
I specifically came here to find this answer… It seems crazy that a database doesn’t support one-to-many and one-to-one relationships as it is the most basic of database requirements.
With that said, how are people working around that to prevent data duplication? I’m currently trying to build a database for my print company to track material pricing and inventory, but I can’t wrap my head around it with out being able to limit the relationships or fill single/multi-selects with conditional values
Checking back on this, it appears to have been addressed in v1.33 (2025-04-30).
See heading “Link field one-to-many relationships”:
Looking forward to re-evaluating Baserow for my needs
Hi @ToddZ, thank you! Yes, we recently released this feature
