Random notifications when a lot of long texts are imported to baserow

HI,

my team has been experiencing this for quite some time - when we import longer texts into baserow tables, (texts which include @ symbols or people’s email addresses), sometimes this triggers notifications to random users.

IS this a known issue? anything we can do about this or turn off notifications?

Thanks!

Hey @dev-rd, were you importing into an existing table or creating a new table from a file import? Also, do the @ values match any collaborator names in those tables?

Usually updating or creating a row via N8N (native Baserow node) or other external automations.

Hey @dev-rd, do the @ values match any collaborator names in those tables?

@olgatrykush

no, they do not.
they are sometimes random X/twitter names which trigger references to actual users upon paste/row update

Also - sometimes users get tagged and links lead to views which they have no access to. and we get an error:

Hey @dev-rd, is this happening on the SaaS version, or are you self-hosting?

If it’s on SaaS, could you please share the workspace ID and table ID with me privately where you’ve seen these issues?

Self hosting. I have not done any tests on this on the saas version.

Thanks @dev-rd, here is the issue to fix this bug: Rich text field mention detection triggers false notifications on imported text containing @-digit patterns · Issue #5512 · baserow/baserow · GitHub :raising_hands:
