Hi there! Is it possible to add a search button to a table in the Baserow building app , or to implement column filters in the app?
Good morning @DonKelly!
Not yet, but the ability to filter/search/sort on collection elements (i.e. repeat, table, record selector) will be possible soon
If you wish to apply filters on specific fields, you can do this by opening the “Data” dropdown in the application builder and applying filters directly on the data source.
Cheers,
Peter Evans
Hey Peter,
Thank you for your answer. Does it mean that only the app builders are able to apply filter and not the end user? I would like people who will use my app to be able to apply filters.
Hi @DonKelly,
Right now, on baserow.io, only the app builders can apply filters, sorts and search to their data sets.
Next week, in v1.29, it will be possible for page visitors to apply their own filters, sorts and search to tables, repeats and record selectors ontop of what you have set-up as the app builder.
As the app builder, you will have full control over which properties are allowed to be filterable, sortable and searchable:
Cheers,
Peter
Hello Peter,
Are we certain that we will have the option next week? do you have a date? do we need to upgrade the plan in order for page visitors to apply the filters? I can put a hold on the project for a moment or start looking for alternatives.
Thank you!
Thank you!

v1.29 should be deployed in the middle of next week.
do we need to upgrade the plan in order for page visitors to apply the filters?
You will not need to change your subscription to benefit from the page visitor filtering, sorting and searching.
Cheers,
Peter
