I followed the quick start guide, using Docker

I’m hosting on my MacBook Air 2019, which has 8 GB of RAM

I did not change any settings but here is what it says on localhost/api/settings/:

Describe the problem

When I look at my tables in the browser, it says “reconnecting to server” and constantly refreshing, then it says “failed to connect”. Looking at the Docker logs, it shows “connection open” and “connection closed”, along with what looks like an accepted Websockets request, over and over again. The network tab in my browser console shows a number of repeated requests with the status “101: switching protocols”

Describe, step by step, how to reproduce the error or problem you are encountering.

Open up the Baserow web app by going to http://localhost in the browser. Log in. Click on one of the databases in my workspace and view a table.

I can generate the logfile but it won’t let me upload. It’s a big file and I don’t know what the relevant part of it is.

Hi @wkdewey, I’m sorry to hear that you’re having some problems. It sounds like Baserow is working as expected, but is unable to make a WebSocket connection to your Baserow server.

How did you get to the point where you run such a long command to start the container? Are you a tool that helps you manage your Docker containers? If so, which tool is that? Do you have a proxy or something like that in between the container and your browser? That can potentially not handle the WebSocket connection.

I am actually just pressing “start” in Docker Desktop to start Baserow. I never typed anything in the command line other than what it says in the Docker quick start instructions. (In order to answer “What commands did you use” I clicked the dots next to the Baserow container and clicked “Copy docker run”). I had set up a different application before in a different docker container, I wonder if that might have an effect on the docker run.

I don’t have a web proxy that I know of. I had been using some website blocking software, but I turned it all off on one browser (Safari) and the same problem recurred. But I could test on a different wireless network.
