Summarize by group

Hi!

I’d like to put this here: Summarize at “group level”.
Person with a similar “problem” here:

Thought I’d ad it as a feature idea

The summarize function is great. For applications where a budget is grouped by month or project seing the sum per this group would be a powerful feature. At the moment I have this solved personally by having another table with these summaries (since other data is connected to the month) but sometimes being able to see the summary without switching table could be powerful while setting up the budget

Great work folks!

I upvoted it - I love the idea of this. There is technically already an aggregation on a group but it is a simple count of records - perhaps that could be expanded to allow for other aggregation types.

We already have this issue: Aggregations per group by (#2164) · Issues · Baserow / baserow · GitLab :slightly_smiling_face:

And how can we vote so that the weight gets better ?

The best way would be to vote on GitLab by adding a thumbs-up:

It’s only possible with a Gitlab account, and they want your email, phone number AND credit card (even though it says no credit card needed) for verification.

I certainly wont give them that. So, if there are more like me and you trust Gitlab to understand what’s prio, then you’re probably not getting the right feedback.

You of course work they way you wish, but this, Gitlab upvote, seems to be a less than ideal way of handling user feedback

I thought of trying to reach out to users and inspire them to upvote this, but when they also need to give Gitlab their credit card, most people would probably think I’m some kind of a scammer…

Hey @Caesar, no worries, users can also leave a vote here at the top of the page:

We also monitor all votes here in the community forum. :slightly_smiling_face:
