Transfer app to customer account

Hello everyone

I’ve developed an app to a customer on my account, it is now time to production and i’d like to transfer the ownership of the app. Is it possible to transfer to another account ? Or change my email and card details (i’d recreate an account and don’t do the same mistake again).

Hey @mouligno, in the next release (scheduled in about a month) we’re going to launch a feature that allows export/import of the workspace via the UI. This will make it easy for you to move the application to your customer.

@jrmi is there a way to move an application to a different account before we implement that feature?

If you can transfer the whole workspace it should be doable but if you want to transfer only the application it’s not possible yet. Can you transfer the whole workspace?

If you follow these steps it should work:

  • Invite the other user as an admin of the workspace
  • Ask this user to login
  • Then he has to visit the integration configuration in the application menu (This screen)

  • The user needs to edit each existing integrations and save them. It updates the user linked with the integration to keep everything working when your account is removed from the workspace. This point is very important.
  • Check everything works (he should try to publish the application and stuff like that)
  • When you are sure ask him to remove your from the workspace.

He should stil have access to the workspace but not you.

Let me know if it doesn’t work for some reason.

He can’t remove me from the workspace since my account took the plan. In the other hand, he can’t take a plan since there is already one on the project.

Any suggestions ? Would it be ok if we switch the card details info and you switch email info of the account ?

That might work but you’ll loose all the access you have with that account.
