As I worked in a larger database, I started to notice it took a few seconds to load the data as I scrolled through it. Safari was much faster, then I tried turning off the shields and it was as fast as Safari.

Thanks so much. This actually made a huge difference - even in the app builder. I just thought my database was getting a but too large, but turning off shields really sped it up!
