Folders for views

Hi,
there should be a folder option for views, so that I can order the views into those.
When working / dealing with many views it should be good practice to be able to structure those into folders.
Thanks

Hello @moonday! Thanks for suggesting a new feature.

Baserow’s architecture is built for scale, and a lot of people choose Baserow for dealing with huge
volumes of data. So we understand your concern, and we can assure you that in the future we will add more and more features that will help work and organize big amounts of data.

We’ve already discussed the importance of creating folders for tables, you can check the details here: Folders for tables, and on the upcoming team call, we will talk about your suggestion — folders for views! I’ll keep you updated here :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey there @moonday! Quick updates on this request: we’ll do our best to release folders/sections for tables and views in Baserow 1.12. Here is the link to the issue on GitLab, where you can track the progress: Sections for views/tables (#1017) · Issues · Bram Wiepjes / baserow · GitLab.

Hello everyone, it’s been a while since this was discussed.

I searched high and low but I seem to be unable to find this feature (folders for views and tables), in 1.12 or after.

Was the idea trashed?

Thanks!

John

Hello @vk2i1, this feature hasn’t been released yet. We have 1000+ features in the pipeline, and some items like folders have moved down the priority list. I’ll check with the team to see if we can prioritize it higher. :raised_hands:

Thanks. Completely understand the prioritization. I have half my databases still at Airtable at the moment, so I kind of assumed Baserow had the feature. No problem, I get it.
