Lock filters on personal views

Hi there,

I just read this topic because I wanted to create personal views of the same table for every user of my workspace.

I want to ensure any user can’t just disable the filter that displays only its rows, is there a way to do it? Otherwise, the idea would be to have the ability to permanently lock & enable filters on personal views (precisely like when sharing a view that has already been filtered, but with the option to edit the table).

Hey @P-Sct, we’re planning to release role-based access control at the view level soon. This feature might solve your needs, but I’ll also discuss the possibility of locking filters. :slightly_smiling_face:

I was also wondering, is it possible for an admin to have access to all personal views? (via API or frontend)

Hello @P-Sct, I’ve checked this with my colleague @frederikdc, and yes, workspace admins can access personal views.

  • API: Access through the view ID
  • Frontend: Access via Admin settings → Users → Impersonate user offers you access
